Suparna Antony is a Trauma Therapist and the Managing Partner & Chief Finance Officer at the NNATTI Centre for Systemic Effective Trauma Therapy. She has a strong background in psychology and years of training in trauma-focused care. Her approach combines deep knowledge, compassion, and proven methods to help people heal from the impact of trauma.
She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Counselling Psychology, along with certifications in Substance Use Disorders, Child Protection (POCSO), Workplace Safety (POSH), Learning Disabilities, and Telecare. Suparna is a certified Somatic Experiencing (SE) practitioner—a body-based trauma therapy—and trained in transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), a brain stimulation method that supports mental health. She also has advanced certification in Thelo-Systemic Effective Trauma Therapy (T-SETT), a model designed for intensive trauma treatment, especially for complex PTSD under the supervision of Fr. Chilton George Fernandez, EMDR therapist and director of Ashray Center for Psychological Counselling, Psychotherapy and Training.
Her work spans schools, churches, and community programs. She has led EMO-AID sessions in schools, conducted marriage preparation and mental health awareness programs, and collaborated with the Kerala Police in the D-DAD (Drug De-addiction) awareness initiative. She was also a key part of the “Njan Kelkkam” psychological first-aid project, offering crisis support to those in need.
Suparna specializes in working with complex PTSD, OCD, phobias, and dissociation, using a whole-person approach that considers the body, mind, and environment. Her work is rooted in values like trust, acceptance, inclusion, growth, clarity, self-awareness, responsibility and excellence.
She is an active member of the CLAP network, the diocesan mental health team, the Kerala Counsellors Forum, and Somatic Experiencing International. As a faculty member with the SRC, she also trains and mentors other mental health professionals in trauma care.
