Attachment Trauma

Attachment trauma happens when a child does not receive the love, care, or security they need from their caregivers (Eg. Parents, Grandparents, Siblings, Maids, Babysitters, Uncle/Aunts, Neighbours and Friends ). This can happen due to neglect, abuse, separation, or unstable relationships. It affects how a person connects with others, often leading to fear of abandonment, difficulty trusting people, or feeling unworthy of love. Attachment trauma can cause anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles in adulthood. Healing often involves therapy, self-awareness, and building safe and supportive relationships.

Eg. A child who is often ignored or feels unsafe with their caregivers may develop attachment trauma. This can make it hard for them to trust others or feel secure in relationships.
